Expert Witness (XPW)

Mediation & Trial is a process of resolving claims between the policyholder and the insurance company. As a neutral third party we are approached to assist in the documentation and resolution of a dispute without bias or dictating the outcome. Our layman’s approach used to report the findings of the loss leads to a comfortable understanding of what has occurred and the claim as a whole. Let Allen Claims be your eyes and ears in the field, as well as your voice and presence in the courtroom. Our team of experienced claims professionals, investigators, forensic engineers, geologists, and more provide insight necessary for Mediation and Trial Monitoring. We are prepared and available to serve our client in all ACI service areas.

General Fees

• Most files are billed at Time and Expense (T&E)
• No office charges, administrative fees, or overhead markup.
• Photos reports, when required may be charged at $1.00ea
• File & lodging expenses billed at actual cost.
• Mileage billed at current federal rate.
• Drive time is prorated whenever possible – driving T&E rate applies based on Property Adjuster rate for travel.

Hourly Rates 

• Managing General Adjuster/Certified General Adjuster/Expert Witness   $350.00-$500.00 per hour

Complex losses from $500,000 to $50,000,000.00+ in damages from fire, water, wind, hail, to include the business loss of income, origin & cause investigation and coordination of experts, multiple coverage lines and locations w/ damage and complex coverage issues. All this and more to determine an expert opinion for large complex losses and litigated claims. 

• Umpire Services  $500.00+ - typically billed on a fee schedule with $2,500 minimum for role as Umpire.
  
• Deposition and expert witness interview/trial - $450.00 per hour ($1,000 minimum charge)
